An overcast morning where the sun barely broke through, casting a silver glow across the wet flats. Quiet and still. No one else around for miles.
Not every day out here is a sunset show. Some mornings the sky is just a flat sheet of gray, and the light comes through diffused and even.
The flats were wet from overnight rain. The ground reflected the sky in patches, turning the landscape into a mirror. Walking across it felt like walking on the sky.
I didn’t stay long. Took a few photos, stood in the quiet for a while, and drove home. Sometimes that’s enough.
